28 Oct 09 New patent validated for SEFAC

September 1st, 2009, the patent concerning the "parachute nut" has definitely been registered and delivered to SEFAC.
SEFAC S3

This judicious invention developed by our engineers has already been implemented on our columns for over two years. This was indeed the period needed so that SEFAC is recognized as the inventor and owner of this technology.

What does the parachute nut consist in?

As SEFAC columns are using the technology of the hanged screw (that eliminates all buckling risks unlike hydraulic jacks), the bottom of the screw is free. By adding a cylindrical cover fixed to the main screw, the nut - enabling the up and down motion of the trolley - can be removed in less than 15 minutes.

What is the main advantage for users?

It is clear and unquestionable:
maintenance of the single spare part of our columns has now been reduced to 15 minutes per column i.e. one hour for a set of four SEFAC columns versus nearly 5 hours for columns that are not using this technology.

This means less downtime and more time saved for the activity and productivity of your workshop!
